No Go for Heathrow

THE BRITISH Government has delayed its decision on whether to build a third runway at London/Heathrow until the summer.

In a December 10 announcement, it said it supported more airport capacity in the South-East by 2030, as recommended by the Airports Commission (see Airliner World, September 2015), but stopped short of mentioning Heathrow by name and made clear that all three shortlisted options – including expansion at Gatwick – were still under consideration.
